I've created a Lot with the incorrect Owner or Lot Number and I've already submitted the receive record. How do I fix this?
Go to Lots > Select Lot > in the upper left click 'pencil icon' next to the Owner's name > change name
I've created a Lot with the incorrect Owner or Lot Number and I have not already submitted the receive record. How do I fix this?
Complete the receive record, then change the name of the Owner.
Notes: When using the 'create Lot' function, the Lot Name and its Associated Owner is created as soon as you hit the Create button. If after you click this button, you close out of the Receive form without submitting, the Lot and its Associated Owner will still exist in the system. You won’t be able to find the Lot in the Lot Summary screen because we do not display Lots with 0 hd counts.
To fix this you have to follow the steps above, selecting the same Owner and Lot, finish the receive record, then change the owner.
I entered the wrong receive date on this receive record. How do I fix that?
As long as you haven’t generated billing and you do not have any move records associated with that lot, you can create a new receive record set for the correct date.
IMPORTANT: Create the new, corrected receive record BEFORE delete the incorrect receive record. The deletion should always come last to avoid negatively affecting feed charges, feed call and ration schedule data.
Can I use a an old, previously closed Lot Number for newly received cattle, from the same owner?
No. The closeout report will include the old information / records. However, you can change the lot name slightly.
