This document outlines how to add a new web service application in QuickBooks using the Web Connector, authorize it, save credentials, and run an update to synchronize data.
Step 1: Open the Update Web Services Option
From the QuickBooks main menu, click File, navigate to Web Services, and then select Update Web Services.
Step 2: Open the QuickBooks Web Connector and Add an Application
In the QuickBooks Web Connector window that appears, click the Add an Application button to begin adding a new web service configuration.
Step 3: Select the Configuration File
In the file selection dialog, navigate to where you saved the file from Feedlot Manager, select the appropriate configuration file for your web service, and click Open.
Step 4: Authorize the New Web Service and Enter Credentials
Review the details in the Authorize New Web Service dialog to confirm that you are adding the correct application, then click OK to authorize it.
Locate the newly added application in the Web Connector list, enter your password in the Password field, and when prompted to save the password, click Yes to store your credentials.
Step 5: Run the Web Service Update
Select the checkbox next to the application you just configured, then click Update Selected to run the synchronization and complete the setup. You can have it set up to run automatically or run it manually, whichever you prefer.
